Cannot connect to GPGNet

Upon firing up the GPGnet client, I get the following error

1 Core 1: Could not connect to GPGNet. please check your internet connection and try again.

Of course I'm on the internet if I'm posting this. Any ideas?|||Same here.

I was logged in on GPGNet when suddenly get 3 connection lost messages. When i retry logging in i get the same message as the poster above.|||Legion Darrath hit me up on MSN about this too; the servers did go down, but at the time of writing i've just successfully logged in.

cannot play with two separate accounts from same house

Hi there. I had bought Supreme Commander: Gold Ed. a while back and have played on GPGnet for a while. My brother recently purchased his own copy of Supreme Commander: FA with the thought that we could play online together.

However, even though we have two separate accounts, we are unable to play simultaneously from our apartment. He can play just fine as long as I am not logged into the GPGnet client, and vise versa. The second I try to join a custom game he is in (in which he has a good connection), both of our connections will drop and it will say 'host timed out' or something.

Also, if one of us hosts a custom game, the other can join with no problem. However, every time another person outside tries to join it says they 'time out'. So, has this problem ever been encountered before? I find it strange that we can't play together just because we are sharing the same internet connection...|||2 people behind 1 router: http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?t=2592|||Legion Darrath|||Legion Darrath|||It isn't a bug at all, do you have any idea how a network works?|||Yeah, that's not a bug, that is how it is supposed to work.|||well, ok :/ I just never had a problem like this before..

Ok, got it fixed. For a while there it still wasn't working b/c it seems I need both TCP and UDP forwarded. :X|||r0n_hawkins

Cannot Host / Join a game on GPGNet.

Hello everyone.

I bought Supreme Commander not long ago, and was hoping to play it with a friend over the internet. I installed the game, made a profile on GPGnet, and can load up the window perfectly fine.

However, the options at the bottom to start or join a game are all greyed out and inaccessible. Also, when I try and join the chat, it tells me I am banned, despite having never used the service previously.

After a bit of looking up on these forums, I think what I might need to do is update GPGnet, and link up my CD key to my GPGnet profile. When I open up GPGnet, it says that it is searching for updates, however, it does not do a thing. I found out you had to manually download the patch from File Planet, which I did, but I have no idea what to do with the file I downloaded, or how to make it update my GPGnet.

I also don't know how to link my CD Key to my GPGnet profile.

If anyone knows how to help me out with this, it would be much appreciated. Do I have the solution wrong entirely?

Thanks for your help. :)|||Install the latest GPGNet from here.|||do waht x-cubed says :D

all should be well

GPGnet CLient Download

Hi,

Where can I download the GPGnet client.

The one included in my supreme commander CD does not work. It will try and update then instantly fail. all i can do is login. Nothing else work.

I've spent the past 2 days trying to find it.

How can I play all factions ?

I have bought Supcom:Gold and so I have both Cd-keys. How can I add vanilla Supcom key to my gpgnet account to unlock UEF , Aeon and Cybran without installing vanilla (I don't want to play vanilla campaign, don't have much disk space and etc.) ?|||Go to notepad > empty file > save as > all filetypes > SupremeCommander.exe

In gpgnet, go to tools > manage games > point it to your SupremeCommander.exe you should be prompted for your key.

If not, relog gpgnet and check next to the red G button if you see a blue acu head, click it and enter your key afterwards you can delete your fake exe.

Don't forget to switch back to FA mode.

Lost GPGnet User Name and Password

I Have lost my user name and password for gpgnet how do i retrieve them?

Start up GPGNet there should be a Lost Username button

Click that will ask you for your email

That will get your Username

After that you can try to recover your password via the lost password button
