1 Core: 1 Could not connect to GPGnet

I've been playing SupCom Forged Alliance with no problems for years but today with no changes to my system i cannot log in to GPGnet getting the error message "1 Core: 1 Could not connect to GPGnet. Please check your internet connection and try again."
I noticed Playertrack was playing up the other day and wondered if it was related. So i uninstalled Playertrack and GPGnet, Restarted, Downloaded the installer (1.5.255.1), Installed GPGnet without Playertrack but still getting the same result.
Any ideas?

Routed on Type 1 NAT connection|||Never mind. Tried again a couple of hours later, seemed to be working again. Still confused as to the randomness of it all though.|||gpgnet loves to have its up and downs daily
