[:1]SupCom2 bluescreens and I get random graphical jitters in the game (such as terrain or units that are shuttering). miniDump (using WhoCrashed) says that the culprit is ntoskrnl.exe "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"
There's also been two crashes related to dxgmms1.sys (DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) and win32k.sys (SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION)

I've had no problems playing Mass Effect 2, FA, ect. but Bad Company 2 also causes this crash. As far as I can tell, it doesn't matter if I have supcom over 2 monitors or just one. Disabling SLI seems to help a bit. Don't think its RAM related as I ran MEMcheck about 6 months ago when I stuck in my ram and it passed.
Game also crashes when I try to join a MP game imminently after launching SC2. Have to do a skirmish and quit to the menu before getting into any MP games.
I had an old thread on this but couldn't move it and have several updates to my situation.|||I'd repeat the memory check. Memory can go bad in time.
All the issues you are having definitely point to hardware issues, most likely memory or CPU related. It might also be a heat problem... if you can check the temperatures of the CPU and video card.|||Just got home from work. Left my computer running MemTest86+ for the whole day. 10+ passes with no error. Don't think it's RAM =/
Temps are fine. Never above 60C on the GPUs according to EVGA Percision and CPU doesn't top 38C after hours of use (using thermal probe).
Rolling back drivers to October 09 didn't work.|||Ok this seems like a steam install problem IF you can please do the following,
Run steam as admin (If on vista or win 7)
Delete the local Content
Make sure your Operating system is fully pattched
Try to reinstall supcom 2 in STEAM as ADMIN
this might work|||Are you sure this is steam related? Bad Company 2 doesn't use steam (bought it retail)|||i think it's ihnstalltion that could be causeing it|||Well when I'm running Bad Company 2, steam isn't even running in the background. I can try it though. So I run steam as admin, then delete the local content for supcom? then uninstall steam and reinstall steam as admin?|||yes|||Ok. I just uninstalled steam, cleared out all the steam files in Program Files, cleared out the registry, and rebooted. I'm going to see if bad company 2 crashes now that steam is completely gone. Wish me luck :)|||I am also having problems on my system. Although not exactly the same as yours. I think it could be the very latest patch, the one after the zero day.
I also tried a total reinstall. No joy unfortunatly.|||Sorry reddev, had another bluescreen while playing Bad Company 2:
dxgmms1.sys - SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M|||u need to reinstall directx again try to install directx again|||reddev32|||dawumyster|||reddev32|||LOL if there still having problems contact squire who ever for futher help sorry we could not relsove this sonner|||haha. Thanks anyway.
At least multilayer seems a bit more stable than single player/AI. just did a nice setons match with nukes flying. Got some wonky textures but that was it.|||glad to hear|||Hey. It's been a while, but the bluescreens at this point are occurring that I have yet to finish a multiplayer game in about a month. I'd get a great start and whatnot, but the game always bluescreens before I can kill my opponent (BSoD average at around the 15 min mark). It got so annoying that I reformatted my computer and reinstalled Win7. And then in my first online game, I bluescreen again!
Ok, so this is clearly not something with windows. Its either a software problem with SupCom and drivers, or a hardware problem that only manifests itself in these two games. Anyone have any ideas how to go about this?|||Hm.... download ORTHOS and stress CPU and RAM for several hours (ideally 24 hours).|||dawumyster|||Try playing the game with an open case.|||korbendallas|||Well, I spent the weekend working this problem out. CMOS gets cleared whenever I updated the BIOS, which I did to try and fix this problem already. Don't think cooling is an issue, I monitor my GPU, CPU and HDD temps both via software and hardware (temp probes leading to a temp display on my case; not very accurate but gives a good idea).
I use Memtest to stress my RAM and after coming up with this problem, I ran Memtest for 4+ cycles and nothing came up. Haven't tried stressing the CPU, but I would imagine Mass Effect 2 (which stresses the CPU even more based on the fact that supcom runs on lower spec systems than ME2) has no problems. I might try the program you suggest, however.
Since reformat didn't work (all current drivers & patches installed), I next pulled out my primary GPU and stuck the secondary GPU into the primary slot. It booted and I got through 2 multiplayer games, no problems. I was elated. I stuck my primary GPU into the secondary slot, but didn't put in the SLI bridge (and so SLI was disabled) and got through 2 games also. Finally, I put the SLI bridge in and enable SLI in the hardware. I managed to do 3 games before getting the familiar Bluescreen.
So in essence, swapping my GPUs managed to reduce this problem from bluescreening before I manage to finish a game to bluescreening about a third of the games I have. I'm trying to think of what underlying problem would produce this symptom but I'm at a loss. Any ideas?
It seems like SLI and drivers are still suspects, but maybe a faulty GPU? How should I test this short of crawling back in my case again (don't really have time for this stuff, just want to play )|||simple just take main gpu out and use your back up. Or completely disable sli and see iof that works and for how long.
